Outdoor Recreation Awaits at Columbia SportsPark
August 6, 2021
While the warm summer weather remains, take full advantage of the sunshine with a trip to Columbia SportsPark. It’s not your average town park! In addition to walking paths and a pair of rentable pavilions, the aptly named SportsPark also features fun extras like a mini-golf course, a skate park, and batting cages.
If you’re interested in a round of mini-golf, head to the 18-hole course and grab a scorecard. Unlike other courses with can be a little kitschy, this one seeks to emulate a true golf course in its look. The theme is simply “landscaping,” meaning its designer took great care to create a beautifully laid-out space without any of the cheesy obstacles you might see somewhere else. Want to take a crack at beating your best batting average? There are 10 batting cages ready and waiting, so you should have no trouble snagging one for an afternoon of practice. If you want to see where it all began, head to the SkatePark constructed back in 1999. It features 15,000 square feet of space for skaters. If you have little ones in two, feel free to make a beeline for the playground or just spread out a blanket on the grass for a picnic.
